What WitFoo Precinct was
WitFoo Precinct was WitFoo's flagship security operations platform, built on the idea that security operations should work like diagnostics. Rather than drowning analysts in raw alerts, Precinct aggregated evidence from the tools you already owned, correlated related alerts into complete incident investigations, and measured how well every tool in your stack was performing — the investigation-centric approach behind the "diagnostic SIEM" positioning. On Gartner Peer Insights, PeerSpot, and AWS Marketplace, the product is still listed under its former name.
What carried forward into Analytics
Everything that defined Precinct lives on in WitFoo Analytics. Graph-based correlation — powered by Temporal Link Analysis — still reconstructs fragmented alerts into complete, forensic-grade attack narratives. Signal search, incident response, SOAR playbooks, compliance reporting, and tool-efficiency metrics all carried forward, joined by newer capabilities like AI-enabled playbooks and multi-tenancy. Adaptive Parsing still eliminates parser and rule maintenance, and data remains compressed and encrypted in motion and at rest.
What changed
The biggest change is structural. The single Precinct platform is now three products, so you only buy what you need:
- WitFoo Conductor — a security data pipeline that ingests, deduplicates, enriches, and normalizes data from your existing stack.
- WitFoo Reporter — compliance, tool-effectiveness, and cost-savings reporting for CISOs and CFOs. No SOC required.
- WitFoo Analytics — the full security operations platform and the direct successor to Precinct, with Conductor bundled at no extra cost.
Licensing is per appliance with unlimited data rates — never per GB or per event — so your costs stay flat as data volume grows.
